Glamour Girl or Natural Beauty?

So we all know (or we should all know) that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is also that one thing  that just seems to shine far from the rest.We have inner beauty and then we have outer beauty.  We are all beautiful in some way, but now our beauty seems to be divided in two different paths. Some choose to be natural beauties and others choose to be glamour girls. It seems now in time, that women all over the world are trying to choose which route they would like to take.

There has been much controversy that glamour girls are addicted to makeup and natural beauties love being "nappy headed". Quite frankly,  I have heard it all and I have heard enough. Women are being chastised and put down for who they define themselves and their beauty to be. Now if we all looked the same, dressed the same, wore our hair the same, how could we possibly express our beauty? We were all created differently for a reason and no one should ever tell you what or who you should look like. Whether it's hair, size, color, makeup ,height, whatever, just know that you are you for a reason!

I personally feel that we women (especially women of color) should focus more on making our beauty shine the way we intend it to be and not the way others feel it should be. I love wearing make-up, heels, and colorful weaves. It's the way I express my beauty and individuality. It doesn't mean that I'm addicted to anything. It's just my preference and when it's all said and done, I feel beautiful inside and out. When the makeup and heels (and the weave) comes off, I still smile. It doesn't take away from me, it just adds to it. It's a part of my outer beauty, but my inner beauty will always hold me down when the outer beauty leaves, get it?
Good, so to sum it all up, ladies, be YOU and love YOU. Whether you're a natural beauty or a glamour girl, embrace it and own it! Once you do, everyone else will respect it and know it too.  :)
